William Albert (or Albert William) Chisum was the son of John Madison and Parthenia Knapp Chisum. In February 1896 he married Naomi Couch, and they had at least 12 children: Lonzo Lee, John William, Zena Mae, Zethel Ann, Leonard Albert, James Hardy, Viola Fern, Thomas Herbert, Joe Charley, Otis Doyle, Buster, and Ruth Lovetta Chisum. Zethel Ann died when she was a year and a half old, in Johnston County, Oklahoma, and Buster died when he was about 9-1/2 years old in Dallam County, Texas. The other children grew to adulthood and most if not all produced grandchildren for William and Naomi to enjoy.
