Cora's father, Henry Humble, returned to Kentucky after the death of Cora's mother, Malinda. He left their children, ages 11, 8, and 6, with the Snyder family, probably Malinda's mother, Kiziah (Riggs) [Palmer] Snyder, who lived another eleven years after Malinda's death. Kiziah's Snyder descendants continued to put flowers on Malinda's grave for over one hundred years.
