Many researchers are confusing this Jacob Tanner of Bedford Co., PA with my John Jacob Tanner of Baltimore Co., MD. Jacob of Baltimore and his son Kinsey are my ancestors. I made this memorial because many researchers are placing Kinsey as a son of Jacob of Bedford which is incorrect. My Jacob & wife Ann Belt went from Baltimore to Harrison Co., OH between 1820 & 1830 and on to Fairfield Co., OH where he died before 1840. Jacob of Bedford first married about 1804 possibly to Sarah Hess and they had 4 children. Census shows two daughters born 1804-1810. A son William 1807-1853 married to Mary, and another son Joseph was born about 1810. Jacob Tanner then married Charity Frazey Correll, widow of George Correll and daughter of Joseph E Frazier/Frazee/Frazey & wife Mary Pearsol. Jacob & Charity Tanner had 7 known children who were: Frances born about 1817 m. William Palmer; Isaac Scott 22 Sep 1818-10 Apr 1903 m. Elizabeth D Johnson; John R born about 1823, died 1878 Canton Twp., Fulton Co., Illinois m. Mary Catherine Lacey; Martha Ann born about 1825, died 22 Sep 1857 Fulton Co., PA m. George Washington Bradshaw Sipe; Sarah Gamble born 18 Mar 1826 m. 1st to George Washington Edmonston & 2nd to Henry P Atticks; Samuel Frazier born about 1828, died 9 Oct 1894 m. Lydia Flanders & Elizabeth B Preshaw; and Randolph 5 Apr 1829-24 Mar 1911 m. Elizabeth Bottenfield. Jacob's burial place is unknown and he may, or may not, be buried in the Bechtel Farm Cemetery (AFT-Michael 1696-1781 & Anna Bend Danner)
