After a lingering illness, Patrick McElwee, aged 75, one of the oldest and best known residents of the Heights, died at his home, 108 North Meade street, this morning at 4:30 o'clock of general debility. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and Holy Name Society of that church. He is survived by his wife and several grown children. The Funeral will be held from the home Saturday morning at 9 o'clock. A high mass of requiem will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church at 9:30, and interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery at Hanover.
