Kenny was born March 20, 1940, in Youngstown, a son of Kenneth E. and Mary I. Pelini French.
He grew up on the northside and graduated from Ursuline High School in 1958. His memberships include Teamsters Local 377 and Eagles Aerie 213. While in the U.S. Army, he was stationed at Fort Knox and Fort Gordon. He was a truck driver and had worked for T.C. Redi-Mix Concrete until 1994. His decorum was absorbed by family and friends.
He will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Helen Marie (Charles) Daff, with whom he made his home in Canfield, and Tracy (Manny) Santiago of Youngstown; two sisters, Patricia (Herbert) Weikes of New Jersey and Margaret M. (Stephen) Dunder of Boardman; three brothers, John (Carol) French of Boardman, Anthony French of Austintown, and Joseph (Michelle) French of Youngstown; grandchildren Kenneth (Ebie) Daff, Jaime Torres, Andrew Daff, Cierra Torres, Taylore Daff, Alexandria Morales, Michael Santiago, and A.J. Zajac; four great-grandchildren, Aubree, Adriana, Nathanial, and Lailah; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his best friend and caregiver, Charles Daff, he will be sadly missed by his canine companions, Sadie, Gunner, and Roscoe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former Joanne H. Kopnisky, whom he married Jan. 26, 1961, and who died Aug. 10, 1991; and a brother, Thomas French.
Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
