Wheelersburg resident Granville Green Blair, 70, of Wheelersburg, died Saturday, April 1, 1995, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
Born May 9, 1924, ln Paintsville, Ky., a son of the late John B. and Rosie Colvin Blair, he was a member of Cottle Fork United Baptist Church at Oil Springs, Ky.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby Ellen Scaggs Blair, whom he married Jan. 11, 1945, in Russell, Ky.; two sons, Robert Michael Blair Sr. of New Boston and Granville Blair Jr., at home; a grandson, Christopher Lee Pennington, at home, whom he raised; two daughters, Carolyn Sue Bobst of Wheelersburg and Elizabeth Blair of New Boston; four brothers, Bayless Blair of Beaver, Grady Blair of Paintsville, Wayne Blair of Staffordville, Ky., and Paul Blair of Dola; a sister, Maxie Powers of Salyersville, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He also was precede in death by a brother, Curtis Blair; and a sister, Dorothy Webb.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Candy Run United Baptist Church, with Elder David Thompson officiating, and interment in Sunset Gardens.
Friends may call at Harrison Funeral Home in Wheelersburg from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, and at the church for an hour before the services Tuesday.
