Funeral for Angela D. Clay, 48 of Hillsboro, Alabama will be 1:00 pm, Friday, October 24, 2014 at Reynolds Funeral Home with the Reverend Ernest Bailey officiating and inhumation will follow in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will be Thursday from 10-7 at the funeral home.

Angela was born July 29, 1966 in Lawrence County to the late Alice Clay. She went home to live with Jesus on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Decatur General Campus after a lengthy illness. She fought a good fight, she kept the faith, (Timothy 4:7)

She was the eldest of four sibling. She confessed a hope in Christ on August 15, 1979 at Mt. Olive P.B. Church where she remained faithful and attended regularly until her health failed.

Angela received her formal education in the Lawrence County School System where she attended Tennessee Valley Elementary School and was a 1984 graduate of East Lawrence High School. She was employed at Shoney’s Restaurant for many years until becoming disabled. She loved cooking and reading to the utmost. She was a very happy and well-rounded person who loved her family and friends tremendously.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Clay and her older brother, Steven Clay.

She leaves to cherish her memory: one brother, Reginald Clay; one sister, Tara Clay; one loving and devoted uncle, Robert Clay; two aunts, Ruthie (Warren) Dillard all of Hillsboro and Carolyn Clay Jones of Houston, Texas; one magnificent niece, Brittany Clay; one fantastic nephew, Reginald Clay Jr. both of Hillsboro and a host of cousins, other relatives and many wonderful friends.

Angela will forever live on in each of our hearts. Although she is gone to a better place, she will not be forgotten because she left us with numerous memories that are deep in our hearts.
