Ronald Leon Kays 77, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him on October 13, 2014 at IU Clarian West Hospital, Indianapolis.

He was born January 25, 1937, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Clifford and Norris Kays.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Diana Louise and son Ronald Eugene Kays, sister Kathleen Barnard and brother Clifford Kays Jr.

He is survived by wife Donna Faye Kays, son Daniel (Chris) Kays and daughter Nancy (Bill) Reed. He had two granddaughters Nichole Danielle and Shelby Lynn Kays and one grandson William Lee Reed.

He retired from Allison Transmission in Indianapolis, where he was an overhead crane operator. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in West Newton for 50 years.

In lieu of services there will be a Celebration of Life at the UAW Local 933 Union Hall at 2320 South Tibbs Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46241 on October 15, 2014 from 4-8PM.
