Lillian Lucille Brown born July 17,1916 in Rocky Mount, Edgecombe, Cumberland County, North Carolina to parents John Archibald Brown and Rosella Godwin. At the age of four she was placed in the Thomasville Baptist Children Home where she lived until March 18, 1936 leaving when she Arville Elmer Boles. They divorced in 1965. They had two children, Larry and Hope Yvonne. Lillian had four older siblings: Verlie T Brown (Pepper), Jennings Andrew Brown, Floyd Aubrey Brown, and Curtis Elwood Brown-Page. Floyd Aubrey Brown also went to the Baptist Children's home. Curtis was adopted by great Uncle G.G. Page and his wife Lillian. The children were treated well and given a good education via the Baptist Children's Homes.
