Mrs. Anna Piper Ricketts, aged 83, mother of Alderman Alexander Ricketts, and an esteemed resident of Wilke-Barre, was found dead in bed yesterday morning at her home, 27 West Ross Street. Mrs. Ricketts was born at Harrisburg, daughter of Alexander M. Piper and Anna E. Elder. Her husband, Agib Ricketts , who did about ten years ago, was a pioneer resident of Wyoming Valley and was captain of militia during the Civil War. Mrs. Ricketts was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Besides her son, Alderman Ricketts, deceased is survived b one daughter, Mrs. W. T. Payne, of Kingston.
