He was born in Jackson, Minn., and graduated from Milltown High School in Milltown, Wis., in 1950.
He was drafted in 1952 in the Marine Corps and was stationed in Barstow, Calif., for two years. He married Esther Randall on Jan. 15, 1952, in St. Paul.
Wesley moved to Silver Bay in 1955, resided there for five years and moved to Finland in 1960. He worked for 25 years at Reserve Mining Co. as a furnace operator, retiring in 1979. Wesley loved the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his son, Roger Dean Jensen, in 1955.
He is survived by his wife, Esther; two sons, Ronald Wesley Jensen, and Robert Dale Jensen; four sisters, Jean Frokjer, Clara Peterson, Shirley Peterson, and Marilyn Jensen; and three grandsons, Kyler, Brady, and Jordan Jensen.
Burial in Crystal Bay Cemetery, outside of Finland.
