Gary Lavel Bradshaw, age 79, passed away October 21, 2014 at his home in Beaver, Utah. He was born June 14, 1935 to Lafey LaVel Bradshaw and Ilynn Christensen in Joseph, Utah.

Gary graduated from Beaver High School in 1953 and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gary served as one of the original eight missionaries called to the Southern Far East Mission in Hong Kong from June 1955 to August 1958. He served his country as a military policeman in the U.S. Army during the time of the Korean Conflict. Gary married Hazel Hutchings July 22, 1960 in the St. George Temple. Together they were called to serve in the Hong Kong Mission from 1998-1999, and again in 2006-2008 to the same mission. They continued to serve in the Palmyra Temple in 2010. Gary was currently serving as a temple sealer in the St. Gorge Temple.

Gary enjoyed doing yard work, gardening, repairing things, serving others, being a great neighbor, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children Grant (Lisa) of Taylorsville; Mai Ling (Kirk) Stevens of Magna; Jared (Christina) of West Valley; Jason (Heidi) of West Valley; brothers James (Jeanie) of Henderson, NV; Lynn (Glenna), Shad (Janet) of Beaver, Utah; sisters Rea Dawn (Larry) Rowley of Parowan; Rachel (Mel) Cox of Orderville; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother and sister-in-law Randy and Colleen Bradshaw, and granddaughter Dusti Kay Bradshaw.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Beaver Stake Center in Beaver, Utah. Viewings will be held Friday, October 24th from 6-8:00 pm at Southern Utah Mortuary (195 N 200 W, Beaver, UT) and also from 11:30 am - 12:45 pm at the church. Interment will be in the Mt. View Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
