BEAR RIVER CITY – Our loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend, Larry Jay Womack, 68 passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2014 with his family surrounding following a short illness with kidney cancer.

He was born on January 1, 1946 in Ogden, Utah, a son of Harold Edgar Womack and Cora Elizabeth Neyman. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School and Baylor University.

Larry served an LDS mission to Sweden from 1965 to 1968. Larry married his sweetheart, Patsy Harris on September 12, 1968 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He joined the US Army and served in the Vietnam Conflict.

He was an avid outdoorsman and a lifelong scholar.

Surviving are his wife, Patsy; eight children: Marsha (Brad) Worthen; George (Varalyn) Womack; Emma (Richard) Anderson; Bruce (Richelle) Womack; Jason (Jenifer) Womack; Erick (April) Womack; Chavela (Jay) Ledesma; Andy Womack; 21 grandchildren; his mother, Cora (Del) Thinnes; seven siblings: Lynda Hadley; Gary Womack; Ron Thinnes; Laverna Gray; Randy Thinnes, Dixie Thinnes and Debbie Widdison.
He was preceded in death by his father and step mother, Harold and Helen Womack, his grandson, Kardon Womack and one brother, Clare Womack.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Bear River City LDS 3rd Ward, 5870 North 4700 West.
Viewings will be held on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment will be in the Washington Heights Memorial Park in Ogden, Utah, where military honors will be accorded.
