William Carpenter White was born on Sunday, February 23, 1812 at Garland, Warren County, PA, the 2nd child of James Miles and Sarah (Carpenter) White. He married Mary McKinney on Thursday, July 23, 1835 at Garland. Mary was born on Sunday, February 26, 1815 at Lawrenceville, Mercer County, NJ and died on Wednesday, May 26, 1880. William died on Sunday, April 28, 1872 at his residence in Garland after a prolonged illness borne with Christian patience. He was in his 61st year. The children of William and Mary White are:
