Suzanne T. Pritchard, 79, of Madison, died Friday, March 24, 2006, at the King's Daughters' Hospital.
She was born June 5, 1926, in Sullivan, the daughter of Stanley R. and Nell F. Brinton Thomas. She was a homemaker, and was a caseworker for the Jefferson County Division of Family and Social Services. She was a member of Tri-Kappa Sorority, and held a widow's membership in the Madison Elks Lodge. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and an avid reader.
Surviving are one daughter, Margaret Shake Adwell of Bourbonnais, Ill.; two sons, Thomas D. Shake of Puyallup, Wash., and James J. Shake of Aiken, S.C.; one stepdaughter, Cathay Pritchard of Hamilton, Ohio; three stepsons, Tom Pritchard of Madison, Miles Pritchard of Weatherford, Texas, and Johnny Pritchard of Fairfield, Ohio; one brother, J. Brinton Thomas of Dallas, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John T. Pritchard.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with burial in Springdale Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association, or the American Lung Association of Indiana. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home.
