Melinda Pauline McWhorter Stroud, 86, of Clinton, Ky. died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014 at Green Acres Healthcare Facility in Mayfield, Ky.
She was a member of Oakton United Methodist Church and worked at Garan Inc.
She is survived by her son, Willis Stroud of Clinton; three grandchildren, Jody Stroud O'Neill of Wingo, Ky., Steven Stroud of Draffenville, Ky. and Preston Stroud of Fulgham, Ky.; seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Richard Stroud; one brother; and one sister. Her parents were Vestor Washington and Anna Cagle McWhorter.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14 at Brown Funeral Home in Clinton. Rev. Charles Blair will officiate, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
