Philip Emerson Hudson, 85, of Ravenswood, W.Va., passed away Oct. 20, 2014, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg.
He was born April 22, 1929, in Princeton, W.Va., the son of Drannon Hudson and Wanda Shumate Hudson.
Philip has gone to be with his wife, Gayle, who passed away on April 6, 2014.
He served 23 years in the U.S. Navy, and retired from Century Aluminum in Ravenswood after 44 years service at age 81. He took very good care of his family and will be sadly missed by all.
Survivors include brother, Harlen Hudson and spouse, Betty, Princeton, W.Va.; daughter, Barbara Nelson and spouse, Michael, Princeton, W.Va.; granddaughters, Abby Sink and spouse, Brandon, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Ashleigh Burgess and spouse, Aaron, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and his beloved poodle, Holly.
Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood, W.Va., with Pastor Chris Skeens officiating. Burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood, W.Va. Friends may visit the family from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, W.Va.
