NORMAL — Wayne A. Caldwell, 40, Normal, died at 2:37 p.m. Sunday (July 31, 2011) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington, with the Rev. Vaughn Hoffman and Rev. Camilla Hempstead officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. Memorials may be made to Community Cancer Center or Wesley United Methodist Church.
He was born Aug. 21, 1970, in Dearborn, Mich., son of J. Timothy Caldwell and Linda Sullivan Caldwell. He married Deborah Berger on Nov. 14, 1998, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomington. She survives.
Also surviving are his father, J. Timothy (Barbara Dixon) Caldwell, Mount Pleasant, Mich.; his mother, Linda Caldwell, Flat Rock, Mich.; children, Kelly Caldwell and Connor Caldwell, both at home; and brother, Peter (Rosa) Caldwell, Brownstown, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Wayne was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomington. He was an analyst for State Farm Insurance Cos. for 19 years. He was a graduate of Central Michigan University, with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics and computer science.
He enjoyed being with people. He also enjoyed his faith, his community, his children and his friends
