Marsha R. Schmidt, 62, of rural Rossville, died at 11:34 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. She had been a patient there since Oct. 16. Born Oct. 23, 1943, in Lafayette, she lived in Fowler, grew up in Lafayette and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1961. She had lived in Owasco, Carroll County, since 1995. Schmidt She married William E. Dunk on July 11, 1992, and he died Dec. 22, 1995. Her marriage to Charles Schmidt was on May 6, 2000, and he survives. Mrs. Schmidt worked for Bower's Gift Shop at Market Square in Lafayette for 27 years, at Rossville CVS Pharmacy and The Food Shop for two years. She was a member of the Bunco Club in Lafayette for 35 years. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas, crocheting and cross stitching.
Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Debbie Coyner (husband: Claude) of Lafayette and Julie Keeling (husband: Eric) of Veedersburg; a son, Greg Gordon (wife: Deb) of Rossville; and four stepdaughters, Christina Perry (husband: John) of Carmel, Jennifer Courtney (husband: Mike) of Burlington, Debra Schmidt and Amanda Schmidt, both of Lafayette; a brother, John Bower (wife: Lynn) of Bloomington; and four sisters, Mary Wiese, Janie Peters (husband: David), Betsy Spencer and Barbra Steinmetz (husband: John), all of Lafayette.
