Chris passed away peacefully at home on Sunday Oct 6, 2002 just four days short of his 73rd birthday.

Chris was born Oct 10, 1929 in Redmond, UT to Ervin and Annetta Hansen Christensen. He served in the US Army between World War II and the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1948.

Chris was a brick mason for many years and was a lifetime member of Bricklayers Local #1. In later years he fulfilled his lifetime dream of becoming a thoroughbred horse trainer. He trained at Centennial Park in Denver and Turf Paradise in Phoenix as well as Wyoming Downs.

He is survived by Stevey, his wife of 51 years and their three children. Scott (Jill) Christensen, Kelly (Libby) Christensen and Susan (Ben) Martinez. He had 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren who loved their "Big Pa". He is also survived by his brother Que (Vernice) Christensen and his two sisters Beula Christiansen and Tessie Metcalf.

Chris will long be remembered for his great sense of humor. He loved a good practical joke and weaving tall tales for the unsuspecting. He was a great friend to others and kept those friendships throughout his life. He will always be remembered as a loyal, honest and fair man.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, Oct 10, 2002 at the Larkin Sunset Garden, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, Utah from 10:00 a.m. til 12 noon and as per Chris' request a short grave side service will be held immediately following.
