Katherine Lucille Dees, 82, of Piggott Arkansas, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014, at the Piggott Community Hospital.
She was born on October 3, 1932, in Braggadocio, Missouri, and was the daughter of the late Willis and Joyce Wicker Parker.
She was united in marriage to Leland Dees on October 1, 1949, and to this union a son, Terry Dees, was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Betty Sue Sharp, and her daughter-in-law, Judith Dees.
Through Katherine's love of nursing she touched the lives of many in our community for 40 plus years. Her love and compassion for people was a gift from God that she used to bless not only her patients, but co-workers as well, and even those who cared for her for the past few years.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 23, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Mike Book officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
