Joseph Leon “Bud” Garrison, 58, of Falling Water went to be with his Lord Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. He was born Feb. 15, 1956, at Ben Hur, the son of Leon and Syble (Standridge) Garrison.

Joe was a member of the Ben Hur Free Will Baptist Church. He fulfilled a lifelong dream establishing the Falling Water Horse Camp with guided trail rides, which included lots of stories. He was a farrier and loved working with and riding horses.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Alicia Jo Ann; his father, Leon; and his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy (Small) Garrison; children, Jesse Garrison of Denton, Texas, Lucretia (Hunter) Palmer, and Brandon Goates of Scottsville; grandchildren, Erin and Maddy Stone of Scottsville; his mother, Syble Garrison of Ben Hur; siblings, Glen (Linda) Garrison of Scottsville, Glendon (Wilma) Garrison of Dover, Carolyn (David) Cooper and Marsha (Donnie) Willis of Deer; brother-in-laws, Terry (Gail) Small of Hector, Tim Small (Kay) of Red River; mother and father-in-law, Milburn and Wanda Small of Tilly; many nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the Falling Water Horse Camp with Rev. James Chronister and Bro. Scott Garrison officiating. Burial is in Moore’s Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
