Elizabeth Ann Hodge passed away on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016. She was born on Feb. 19, 1931, the daughter of Fred Leroy and Edna Mae Wallick Allison. She married Carl Cecil Hodge on July 3, 1950. She was a member of the Crab Orchard Church of God.

Elizabeth, called Libby by many friends and family members, was a stay at home mother of four children, Harold Eugene Hodge, Delores Jean Miller, Patricia Ann Hawn and Gary Lynn Hodge. In her quiet manner, she managed things at home and raised wonderful children while her husband worked away on the railroad. During those years she worked at Fairfield Glade when it first opened, and at Roselon Southern. When her youngest son graduated from high school in 1976, Elizabeth joined her husband in Syracuse, NY, where they enjoyed six years together before Carl’s death in 1982. She moved back to Crossville and lived with her daughter Pat at the family home in Crab Orchard until her death.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Edna Allison; husband, Carl Cecil Hodge; daughter, Delores “Sissy” Miller; son, Gary Hodge; great-grandson, Andrew Begley; and sister, Juanita Bohannon. She is survived by her brother, Art Allison of Battle Ground, WA; son, Harold Hodge and his wife, Judy, of Madison, KS; daughter, Patricia Hawn of Crossville; grandchildren, Mary “Meme” Martin, Scott Hodge, Stacey Peters, Erin Rindt, Amy Miller, Brandon Miller, Joe Hawn, Kim Thompson and husband Joe, Danny Bilyeu, and Abigail Hayes and husband Matthew; 28 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth's family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2016, at 10 a.m. also at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest in Haley's Grove Cemetery.
