Amy K. Cooper, 78, of "E" Street in Carlisle, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006, in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born on Oct. 15, 1927, in Upper Mifflin Township, Mifflin County, she was a daughter of the late David A. and Margie A. Showvaker Hosfeld.
Amy was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Class of 1946, and an employee of the former Kutz's Harness Shop.
Amy traveled and lived in both the Pacific and the United States while her husband served in the military from 1950 to 1972.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Oral E. Cooper Jr.; two sons, Michael E. Cooper of Newville and David A. Cooper of Elverson; two brothers, Eugene Hosfeld of Indiana and Glenn Hosfeld of Carlisle; and four grandchildren, Jason, Morgan, Liam and Erin. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Kathryn Johnston officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
