A veteran of the United States Navy Air Corps, he was the widower of Virginia Ellen Harrison. A Funeral Mass was held on October 24, 2014, at Holy Rosary Church in Hawthorne, NY. He was survived by seven children, Edwin Dennis Harrison, Jr. (Lee), Virginia Anniccharico (Joe), Timothy Harrison (Chris), Joseph Harrison, Denise Negrey (Bob), Marykate McCabe (Tom) and Jeffrey Harrison (Laura); 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and an extended family of relatives and friends.
