Michael Lynn Mercer, age 50, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 18, 2014. Mike was born on June 21, 1964 in San Antonio, Texas.
He graduated from McCollum High School in 1982. He worked at the SA Express News newspaper in the pressroom for over 20 years. Mike volunteerd for 25 years at the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo and looked forward to the rodeo each year.
He was a longtime member of the Highland Social Club where he enjoyed bowling and visiting with his friends. Mikes kindness and smile will truly be missed by all that knew him.
His brother Matthew Mercer preceded him in death.
Left behind to mourn his loss are his mother, Donna Mercer, brother Mark Mercer and wife Shirley, sister Catherine Glovier and husband Chad, father Earl Mercer, grandfather Grover "Pa" Dycus, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many many friends.
