Verle Adelaide “Midge” Aaron of Clarion, PA, died at age 95, Saturday, October 19, 2014.

She was born on May 5, 1919 in Kingsville, PA and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Rose Reinsel.

She lived in the Clarion area until her husband Melvin F. Aaron passed away in 1985. She spent the next 25 years living in and loving Florida.

She traveled to many countries with her family and loved life. In 2012 she returned to the Clarion area where she lived with her family. Her passion in life was caring for and helping people.

She worked for many years as a nurse at Brookville Hospital and then Clarion Hospital. In retirement she cared for family members, volunteered at Clarion Hospital, Meals on Wheels, Hospice, and the Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Rosemary Schmader of Norfolk, VA, Martha Aaron and her “hubby” Wally of Winter Haven, FL, Kathleen Whitney of Raleigh, NC, and sons Melvin Aaron, Jr. and wife Robin of Strattanville, PA and Michael Aaron and wife Bonnie of Clarion PA. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren: Wally Schmader, David Schmader, Lisa Dixon, Jeff Barger, Shelly Jones, Greg Ransom, Brooke Whitney, Blake Whitney, Holly Knotts, Molly Stahlman, Kim Kahle, Steve Aaron, Melanie Armstrong, LeeAnn Pavlock, and Melvin Aaron, III. She also had 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She has two surviving sisters, Jo Pasquerette of Shippenville, PA, and Teresa Neuland of Tonawanda NY, and a son-in-law, Dominic Rella of Winter Haven, FL.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Loretta Rella, her son-in-law, Walter Schmader, her great-granddaughter Devon Knapp, three brothers and three sisters.

She went to her rest after a lifetime of giving. She was love and will be greatly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 1, at 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion. Father Monty Sayers will be officiating.
