Dorris E. Johnson, age 91, of South Main Street, Russellville, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Creekwood Place Nursing and Rehab Center in Russellville, Kentucky. He was a Logan County Native born June 5, 1923 to the late Freeling Johnson and Irene Thurmond Johnson. He worked with Swift and Company as a dairy distributor. He later worked as a police officer for the City of Russellville and retired with the Logan County Sheriff's Department, where he served as Deputy. He was a member of the Post Oak Baptist Church and is survived by:

Funeral Services for Dorris E. Johnson, will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Wilbur Powell officiating and burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will take place after 5:00 pm Tuesday, October 21, 2014 and Wednesday from 8:00 am until the service hour of 11:00 am
