Dorris E. Johnson, age 91, of South Main Street, Russellville, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Creekwood Place Nursing and Rehab Center in Russellville, Kentucky. He was a Logan County Native born June 5, 1923 to the late Freeling Johnson and Irene Thurmond Johnson. He worked with Swift and Company as a dairy distributor. He later worked as a police officer for the City of Russellville and retired with the Logan County Sheriff's Department, where he served as Deputy. He was a member of the Post Oak Baptist Church and is survived by:

Wilbur Powell officiating and burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will take place after 5:00 pm Tuesday, October 21, 2014 and Wednesday from 8:00 am until the service hour of 11:00 am
