Kenneth Edward “Ken” Teeter, age 81, died October 20, 2014 at Dogwood Plantation, Corinth, MS.

Graveside Service at Booneville City Cemetery will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 5:00 P M with Minister Terry Smith and Rev. Merl Dixon officiating.

Ken was born October 15, 1933 to Samuel E. and Elsie Mae Deese Teeter in Concord, NC. He retired after 23 years in the U. S Army, receiving numerous commendation medals, serving his country in Vietnam, Japan and Germany. He was a graduate of Columbia College in Columbia, MO with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. He also retired from Liberty National Life Insurance in Corinth, MS. He was a past President of the Corinth Breakfast Civitan Club, former member of the Lions Club, Corinth Life Underwriters Association and was a member of Corinth Scottish Rites. He enjoyed woodworking in his shop, working in the yard and loved animals. Ken was a friend to all he knew and always had a smile on his face.

Survived by his wife and best friend whom he married July 1, 1977: Sylvia Maddox Teeter of Corinth, MS; son, Jeff Teeter and his Wife Joellen of Albemarle, NC, daughter, Kimberly Teeter, Six Grandchildern: Jason Teeter, Jessica Teeter, Jennifer Lawrence (Brian) Heidi Crayton (Chad) Jill Todd (Bradley) and Abby Teeter, Twelve Great-Grandchildren
and sisters: Doris Hinson of Concord, NC and Joann Harris and Husband Jack of Concord, NC. Other family members and a host of friends.

Preceded in Death by his son, Eddie Teeter and his parents, Samuel E. Teeter and Elsie Mae Deese Teeter.
