It has been pointed out to me by Terry Barnard (Find-a-Grave contributor #47088270) that the information on the gravestone would give a birth date of July 31, 1703, i.e.
subtracting 67 years 1 month and 27 days from September 27, 1770.
From John Slaughter: Terry was correct on the computed birth date. However, the actual birth records give 8 July 1702. That is before the change to the Gregorian calendar. He died after. That automatically introduces an 11 day possible error right there. I think that I'd have to stick with the recorded date.
