Mrs. Evans was a native of Milledgeville and she lived in Gray before moving back to Milledgeville. She loved gambling and enjoyed traveling. She was a retired legal secretary for William R. L. Latson, attorney. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Andrew Sharpe and Ida Mae Lavender Sharpe; daughter, Pam Stevens; son-in-law, John Stevens; and sister, Faye Sharpe. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, James F. Evans of Milledgeville; sons, Andy (Georgeann) Andrews of Gray and Jae (Ericka) Evans of Conyers; grandchildren, Wendy Stevens, J.T. Stevens, Krystal Stevens, Karen Higgins, Whitney Evans, Dylan Evans and Daniel Evans; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Stevens, Jordan Stevens, Stevie Stevens, Evan Stevens, Mollie Kate Stevens and Holden Stevens.
