Charles Basil Goff of Crawfordsville died at his residence Wednesday at 9:20 a.m. He was born April 8, 1921, to Frank Basil and Carmen Elizabeth (Switzer) Goff at Gessie, Indiana.

He married Marjorie Reddish on November 15, 1941, at Phanuel Lutheran Church at Wallace, Indiana, and she survives.

He was a member of Phanuel Lutheran Church at Wallace, a 60-year member of Waveland Masonic Lodge F&AM 300 and was Past Worthy Patron of Eastern Star; six years was secretary-treasurer of Montgomery County Farm Bureau; 16 years served on Montgomery County Council; served many years on Election Board; and 18 years was with Indiana Department of Health Weights and Measurers as an inspector. He was a lifetime farmer and a graduate of Wallace High School.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn K. Brown and a grandson, Shane.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2012, at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home, Waveland, with the Rev.Mike Whitacre officiating. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at the funeral home. Masonic services will be at 5:30 Sunday.

Burial will be at Oak Hill South Cemetery at Crawfordsville.
