Philip Nelson, 82, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2014. A graduate of Mission Church High School in Boston, he joined the Air Force in 1951 and served honorably until 1955. After graduating from Bentley College in Boston, he moved to Honolulu.

He earned the title of Certified Public Accountant in 1962. He married Loretta Bailey in 1968 and was a devoted husband. He enjoyed a successful career as an accountant, was a staunch Democrat and will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Loretta and is survived by his sisters Mary Fitzgerald, Margaret Habermas and Regina Campbell and his brother John Nelson as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in June in Honolulu. No flowers.

Philip G. Nelson, 82, of Honolulu, a retired Straub Clinic and Hospital associate administrator and an Air Force veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Boston.

He is survived by brother John T. and sisters Mary V. Fitzgerald, Margaret A. Habermas and Regina C. Campbell.

Memorial Mass: 9 a.m. Thursday at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Casual attire. No flowers. Donations suggested to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
