James Edward Logan Carter, 90, of Adams, passed away on Wednesday February 3, 2021 at Skyline Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday February 6th at 11:00 a.m. in the Highland Cemetery in Guthrie, KY with Billy Vogle officiating. Pallbearers will be Ricky Carter, Ronnie Carter, Logan Carter, Sam Lowe, Josh Lowe, and Wayne Evans. There will be no public visitation prior to the graveside service.

Mr. Carter was born May 6, 1930 in Olmstead, KY to the late James Edward “Jim” and Leasee Blackburn Carter. He was a retired farmer and a member of Cedar Hill Church of Christ. Mr. Carter enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and hunting arrowheads. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Ruth Evelyn Riley Carter, by his son-in-law: Denny Lowe, and by his siblings: Robert Carter and Viola Carter Keay.

Mr. Carter is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law: Ronnie Carter of Adams, Ricky Carter of Adams, Neil and Susie Carter of Adams, by his daughters: Cathy Lowe of Adams and Connie Carter of Adams, by his grandchildren: Sam Lowe, Logan Carter, Josh Lowe, Courtney Carter, Taylor Carter, Sheena Lyttle, Ashley Tabb, and Chris Thompson, and by 13 great grandchildren.
