Many friends mourn with Mr. and Mrs. Battle Bell over the death of little Elizabeth, which occurred on last Wednesday evening at 9 o'clock, at their residence on Third Avenue North. She was ill for about one week with diphtheria, and everything in the way of medical skill and careful nursing was given her, but her little body succumbed to this dreadful disease and her tender spirit went to live with God.
Dr. J. W. Shoaff conducted the private funeral from the residence on Thursday morning and the remains were tenderly laid to rest in Friendship cemetery. Many tokens of sympathy in the way of flowers, letters and words have been extended the bereaved, all of which must bear something of healing, but God is the true healer and will not fail them in this dark hour.
