Norma L. Pace, age 87, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 6:45 A.M. July 28, 2017 at her residence with her family by her side. Norma worked as a hairdresser for many years. She also enjoyed working in Flea Markets selling glassware and as a greeter at Hughey Funeral Home. Norma attended Meadowbrook Christian Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Norma was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Service: Monday, July 31, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Mr. Michael Sheets officiating. Interment: Old Union Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Norma Pace was born April 5, 1930 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Henry and Alice (Hogue) Sursa. Norma married Andy Pace on July 3, 1949 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. They were blessed with 60 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on August 17, 2009

n addition to her husband and parents, Norma was preceded in death by her siblings, Howard Sursa, Gene Sursa, Ed Sursa, Wilma Marcum, Maxine Culli, and Betty Askew.
