Simmone VanBlaricum, 79, a retired teacher and resident of Bentonville, Arkansas, died November 12 at her residence. Formerly of Winchester, she was a native of Savannah, Georgia, and was the daughter of Simon Hadded and Elva Chavez Hadded. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. In addition to her husband, Dr. James VanBlaricum of Bentonville, Arkansas, she is survived by four sons, Dr. James Edward VanBlaricum of Las Vegas, Nevada, Charles Lee VanBlaricum of San Antonio, Texas, William Lynn "Pete" VanBlaricum of Winchester, and Thomas David VanBlaricum of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Marguerite Howard of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Jennie Warren of San Antonio, Texas; 22 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Wiseman officiating. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
