HARRISBURG — Erma Mae Stutts, 90, of Emeritus Senior Community, Harrisburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, at Hershey Medical Center.
Erma was born in Harrisburg Nov. 14, 1923, a daughter of the late Robert E. and Mabel F. (Garman) Bates. She was married to William E. Stutts in Little Rock, Ark. She worked as a systems analyst for the Mechanicsburg Navy Depot for more than 30 years before her retirement.
She was a social member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 1001.
Erma enjoyed trips to the beach, being near the water and sunbathing. She also had a heart for animals, always having pets of her own. She was an avid card player and she enjoyed bingo. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Rae Stutts, of Hebe; and her brother, Ray Bates, of Fort Myers, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing and funeral were held from the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, 2100 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg. Burial was in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. To offer condolences please visit GeigleFuneralHome.com.
