He married Margaret Susan McKinney on May 13, 1939 in Kentucky. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Louise age 7 and Linda Jean Bunch, both having died in 1943. Surviving are 3 sons, Horace of Glasford, ILL, Carl and Debbie of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Rickie and Karen of Lexington, Kentucky. 4 daughters Judy and Rick Marion of Glasford, ILL, Charlotte and Golden Smith Jr. of Lily, KY, Marjorie Adler of Evansville, Indiana, and Brenda and Darcie Smith of Lewisburg, KY. 26 grand children, numerous great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
