Arthur J. (Art) Anderson, 63, of Delphi died at 3 a.m. Friday at his home.

He retired from National Homes Corporation of Lafayette in 1967 due to ill health. He was Carroll County sheriff from 1934 to 1938.

Anderson was a member of the Delphi Masonic Lodge and the Delphi IOOF Lodge.

Born November 27, 1905, in Rossville, he was the son of David and Jennie Clark Anderson. His marriage in 1927 at Monticello was to Seena M. Cramer, who survives.

Surviving also are a son, Lloyd Leon (Bud) Anderson of Rt. 4, Delphi; two brothers, Frank of Delphi and Roger of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Yoder of Lafayette and Mrs. Josephine Eisenman of Peru; and three grandchildren. Two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Sullivan-Lloyd Funeral Home in Delphi. Rev. Howard Jenkins officiated and burial was in the Delphi Masonic Cemetery.
