Georgia Rae Peasley, 65, of Little Sioux, Iowa passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Wayne Bahr, officiating. There will be no visitation. There will be a private family burial at a later date in the Little Sioux Cemetery, Little Sioux, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.

Georgia Rae was born February 9, 1949 in Pisgah, Iowa the daughter of John J. and Norma (Withem) Edmonds. She was raised in the Pisgah area.

Georgia and Tommy J. Peasley were united in marriage on February 26, 1966. To this union, four sons were born, Tim, Kevin, Greg, and Rodney. They lived and raised their sons in Little Sioux. Tommy passed away on October 10, 2006.

Georgia loved her dog, Hilda, having tea parties, watching Barney with her grandchildren, watching soap operas, writing poems, dancing, playing card games & dice, and doing crossword puzzles. She especially enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren's activities.

Survivors include her four sons; eighteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnne and Becky; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Theresa Peasley, Kay (Delbert) Ferris, Sally (Jerry) Hussing, and JoAnne Larson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tommy; and sister, Connie.
