He was born December 7, 1957 in Troy, Michigan to the late Floyd and Elsie Patrick Abney. Survivors include, Son, James Abney, Mt. Sterling; Daughter, Michelle Thorpe, Stanton; Brothers, Wayne Abney, Stanton, Ray Abney, Frenchburg, and Tony Abney, Stanton; Sister, Janet Townsend, Clay City; Grandchildren, Courtney & Jacey Thorpe and Jerica Abney. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sisters, Charlene Bailey, Barbara Robertson, and Laura Rogers. Services Tuesday, October 14, 4:00PM Davis & Davis Funeral Home, Stanton by Rev. Chad Keathley. Visitation Tuesday after 3:00PM at the funeral home. Burial in West Bend Cemetery with David Kissick, James Garrett, Alex Holbrook, Al Kiernan, and Steven Randall serving as pallbearers.
