Josephine A. Schneider, age 72, of St. Clair Twp., died October 12, 2014.

She was born April 14, 1942 in Detroit to the late Frank and Annabelle Schomburg. On November 7, 1969 Josephine married Harold Schneider in Richmond.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Josephine loved her work as an in home care-giver working with many area residents. She also took great pride in her family. She cherished her time with her grandchildren, her friends and family. She recently developed into a big baseball fan and loved watching the Tigers games.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Harold Schneider, children; Mary Jordan, Rita (Jack) Grazia and Michael Schneider, grandchildren; Joshua and Seth Jordan, Sarah, April, Kalli and Brooke Grazia, sister; Marilyn (Richard) Gramer, brother; Joseph (Sharon) Schomburg and many nieces, nephews and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her sisters; Joan Israel and Mary Clara Haverty.

Funeral mass will be conducted Thursday October 16th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Richmond. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Thursday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to mass. A rosary will be recited Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
