Mrs. Armbrest had lived most of her life in this community. She was a native of Missouri where she was born in Hamilton county on Sept. 4, 1880, a daughter of Tom and Mary Cateron.
She was married at Winterset in 1896 to Eli Armbrest. He preceded her in death in 1953. A son, Charles, also preceded her in death.
She was member of the Winterset Christian church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wynona Brodmarkle of Des Moines; one granddaughter; three great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Grier of Beaumont, Tex.; and a brother Ernest Cateron of Council Bluffs.
