Raymond "Vern" Hutt, 85, Omaha, died Nov. 19, 2008.
A service was at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at the United Methodist Church, Tecumseh. The Rev. Mark Crist officiated. Visitation was from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at the Wherry Mortuary, Tecumseh.
The family greeted friends from 2 till 4 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour before the service at the church. Burial was in the Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh.
Vern Hutt was born April 13, 1923, at Elk Creek, the son of Hubert and Reta Carmine Hutt. He worked as a pipeline engineer for National Cooperative Refinery Assn., McPherson. He served in the Army during WWII and had been a prisoner of war.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred, Omaha; son, Paul, Olympia, Wash.; and brother, Keith, Tecumseh.
