Granville Vincent, age 84 of Leitchfield, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 at his residence. He was born January 3, 1930 in Bee Spring, KY the son of Jacob Leonard & Nancy Elizabeth Meredith Vincent. He was the owner of the Key Market, a Kentucky State Representative, an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of the Louisville Masonic Lodge & Gideon Association, a deacon, Sunday School teacher for 35 years and an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife, Laverta Meredith Vincent of Leitchfield, three children, Elizabeth Ashby of Elizabethtown, Granvil Vincent of Millwood, & Jacob Vincent of Bardstown, one brother, Johnny Vincent of Brownsville, three sisters, Grace Wood & Avis Stevenson both of Bee Spring and Darlene Kerr of Leitchfield, nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Skaggs, two brothers, Glenn & Othie Vincent, and three sisters, Cuba Meredith, Ola Moutadier, & Lola Hayes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday (Oct. 16) at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield with Bro. George Smith & Bro. John Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in the Bee Spring Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
