Darryl Hill 'Sugarhill' Mr. Hill, 49, of Charlotte, NC, died November 3, 2008 at his residence. Darryl was born August 31, 1959 in Charlotte, NC to Raymond Glenn Hill and Shirley Elizabeth Haley Hill. 'Sugarhill', as he was lovingly known, was a member of the Metal Detective Association, American Rifle Association, the Gold Mine Prospectors Association and the Case Knife Association. Darryl was also an avid coin, baseball card and antique toy collector. The Hill family will greet friends Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial. A service to celebrate the life of Darryl Hill will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2008 at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial with The Reverend William Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Charlotte Memorial Gardens. Darryl is survived by his wife, Angela of the home; his parents, Raymond and Shirley Hill of Charlotte; daughter, Ashley Hope Hill; brother, Richard Hill of Charlotte, NC; sister, Wanda Hill Krug of Rock Hill, SC and Steven Hill of Monroe, NC; nieces and nephews: Steven Hill, Jr., Jeremy Wayne Hill, Eric Wayne Hill, Jessica Marie Krug, Ritchie Hill and Amanda Hill.
