Patrice M. Brown, age 60 of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014.

Patrice was born and raised in Columbus, daughter of the late James and Mary McGarity. Also preceded in death by her brother, Jim McGarity, Jr.

Patrice graduated from Bishop Watterson High School, Class of 1971. She worked as Vice President of Administration with Maximation. Patrice was a caring and loving woman who had a warm personality. She was an avid reader, proud of her Irish heritage, enjoyed music and sharing her family history with her nieces and nephews.

Because she had such a tremendous love for her family and friends, Patrice will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Brown; step-sons, Rick (Connie), Todd (Andrea) and Brett (Sheila) Brown; several grandchildren; siblings, Michael (Lauren) McGarity, Tom (Tracie) McGarity, Bill (Michelle) McGarity, Mary Jo (Ron) Wheeler and Matt McGarity; sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Carl) Schenk and Sharon (Jerry) Mahler; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Family will receive friends from 1-5 P.M. Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Rd.

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Monday, October 20, 2014 in the chapel on the grounds of Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N. High St.
