She was the daughter of the late James Elbert and Margaret Denton Geisler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glen Allen.

Mrs. Allen was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse at the former Carter County Memorial Hospital. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2000 at Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Interment was at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
