Lori was a daughter of Thomas Schrader and Florence Guidry. Her maternal grandparents were Adam Paul Guidry and Arvie Elsie Hargraves. Her paternal grandparents were George Schrader and Mary Alford. She is survived by two daughters, Ashley and Brittany.

Lori Anne Schrader-Lewis, 47, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on October 15, 2014. Her entire family and all of her friends will miss her beautiful smile and the joy she could bring into any room. If there was something she was known for, it was making your day better and putting a smile on your face.

Lori was born in Beaumont, TX on January 11, 1967. She grew up in Vidor, Texas. She was quite the free spirit and traveled several places before settling down in Kansas City, MO and raising her children. After many years, Lori found her way back down to her homeland of Texas.

Lori was married to Joseph David Lewis on July 28, 1986; they were married for 16 years.

Lori worked as a homemaker for the majority of her life. She enjoyed anything that had to do with her family. She loved to be wild and out of the norm. She always had several notepads around filled with writing. She constantly wrote about any and everything going on in her life. It’s now that I can look back and truly appreciate that. Lori was a person people thought they would never have to say good bye to. She had been through so much in her lifetime that it seemed nothing could take her down.

Lori is survived by her five grandchildren, Lexie Horton, Taylin Lewis, Hailey Huonker, Acelyn Stone, and Jesse Stone, Jr.; her mother Florence Guidry; father Tommy Schrader; her two sisters, Carrie Schrader-Rocha and Susy Schrader-Balsano; her three children, Ashley Lewis, Brittany Lewis, and Matthew Miller.

Lori is also survived by the children of her late uncle Clarence Guidry and aunt Roxanne Lever Burd, cousins, Terry Guidry, Scott Guidry, Steve Guidry, Kristi Guidry; the children of Donald Guidry and Judy Guidry, cousins, Donnie Guidry, Paula Guidry and Mike Guidry; the child of Roy Guidry and Saudra Devillier Fontenot, cousin Summer Guidry; and Donna Collins and Kelly Collins...along with many wonderful second cousins and extended family.

Lori is preceded in death by her Grandparents Adam Paul and Arvie Elsie Guidry, her uncle Clarence Guidry, and cousins Rodney Guidry and Gary Collins.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200.

May you rest in the arms of the Angels, Lori.

Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.”

Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is near to the broken hearted, and saves the crushed in spirit”.

Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
